The long-awaited reconciliation between Fuji stars Taye Akande Adebisi, popularly known as Taye Currency, and Wasiu Alabi Pasuma has finally happened, bringing joy to their fans and supporters.
The ongoing Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia has provided the perfect setting for the resolution of their feud, which had lingered for some time.
Origins of Their Dispute
The disagreement between the two Fuji musicians stemmed from misunderstandings and perceived slights. During a live performance, Taye Currency voiced his frustration over being referred to as Pasuma’s “son” in the industry. While he acknowledged Pasuma as a senior colleague, he insisted that their age difference did not justify such a title.
He further argued that his unwavering loyalty to Pasuma had, at times, disrespected his own brand. In response, Pasuma felt slighted and disappointed, viewing the remarks as an act of ingratitude.
A Long-Awaited Reunion
Fortunately, their rift was short-lived. Fuji legends Killington and K1 stepped in to mediate, leading to Taye Currency publicly apologizing to Pasuma during a live show—an apology that Pasuma graciously accepted.
However, the two had not been seen together since their reconciliation until now. A viral video shows them in what appears to be a hotel room in Mecca, finally setting aside their differences as they observed Umrah.
Taye Currency deliberately chose Umrah 2025 as the moment to extend his apology once again. Given Pasuma’s well-known humility, it was no surprise that he accepted it, reaffirming the bond between the two Fuji stars.
