Yoruba film actress Adewumi Fatai has spoken out about a troubling experience she had while in the UK with fellow actress Bukky Fagbuyi, revealing how the incident affected her reputation and professional relationships.
In an interview shared on Biola Adebayo Ent’s official YouTube channel, Fatai recounted how her journey began when Bukky Fagbuyi invited her to stay at her home. However, what seemed like a kind gesture took an unexpected turn, leading to challenges that left a lasting impact on her career and personal life.
“It was Bukky Fagbuyi who asked me to come and stay with her in the UK. Bukky is a very nice person, but I didn’t know she was saying something bad behind my back,” she explained.
This betrayal seemingly left a lasting impact, as Fatai claimed she was informed by others about Fagbuyi’s negative comments concerning her.
The situation escalated when a particular incident led to a serious accusation. Fatai shared, “There was a day her child was playing with some money inside her room; I was the one who collected the money from her child and gave it to her when she came back, but she didn’t trust me when her gold jewellery was missing.”
This mistrust culminated in a public accusation that Fatai described as disgraceful.
She stated, “Bukky Fagbuyi disgraced me when she accused me of stealing her gold jewellery in the UK.”
