Portable Calls Out Burna Boy in Viral Video Despite Receiving N20M Gift
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has sparked fresh controversy after publicly calling out Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy in a new video—despite recently receiving a generous N20 million gift from him.
Burna Boy had reportedly gifted Portable the hefty sum in appreciation for defeating fellow singer Speed Darlington in their highly publicized celebrity boxing match.
The feud between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington has been simmering for months, intensifying with each public jab. Even after a stint in prison, Speed Darlington has continued to level wild accusations against Burna Boy, including a bizarre claim that the Afro-fusion star had a romantic involvement with American music mogul Diddy prior to winning his Grammy.
Portable’s sudden outburst has left fans stunned, with many questioning his motives and the timing of his criticism—especially after such a grand gesture from Burna Boy. The video has since gone viral, reigniting debates on loyalty, fame, and the volatile dynamics of celebrity friendships.
However, Portable after confirming the N20M given to him by Burna Boy, the stree-hop artiste in a new video has called out Grammy Award winner Burna Boy despite his kind gesture to him.
Speaking in the new video, Portable said that he has been in the DM of Burna Boy for years now begging him for a feature but he has refused to do so but he gave him N20M for beating Speed Darlington.
He said that he would have prefer to choose a feature with a global artiste like Burna Boy instead of the N20M given to him by the Grammy Award winner for beating Speed Darlington.
