A Nigerian lady who recently completed her one-year compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme has received a generous token of appreciation from her place of primary assignment — a utensils shop.

In a heartwarming gesture, the shop owner gifted the corps member ₦70,000 at the end of her service year to thank her for her dedication and contributions to the business.

A video shared by Dee Utensils captured the moment the shop owner praised the corps member, highlighting the positive impact she had on the business throughout her stay. The shop owner asked the corps member if she would like to continue working at the shop, and she gladly accepted.

She then instructed the shop manager to place the NYSC lady on the new minimum wage of ₦70,000.
