Yoruba Nollywood actor Dare Agbejo has shared a troubling experience he faced at the hands of a senior colleague on a movie set, revealing how he was humiliated and pressured to prostrate before a woman alleged to be the actor’s side chick.
In an interview on the Feelrightnews YouTube channel, Dare recounted how the woman approached him during filming and asked him to buy her a soft drink. Although he remained calm, his younger colleagues were visibly upset by her tone. According to him, he downplayed the incident, believing the woman didn’t recognize him.
However, the situation escalated when the woman reported the incident to her boyfriend, a senior actor on set.
“She said she didn’t care who I was and stormed off to report me. Moments later, my senior colleague gathered everyone and publicly embarrassed me. He insisted I must kneel and beg her or leave the set,” Dare recounted.
The actor’s revelation has sparked widespread conversation on social media, with many condemning the abuse of power within the industry and praising Dare for his courage in speaking out.
saying that she can send me to buy anything she likes. An actor said I must choose between prostrating to beg his sidechick or leaving his movie set. My boys asked me to leave the movie set, but I chose to beg the lady by prostrating myself to her in front of other actors, and I started crying.”
