Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has emerged as the winner of the Best Supporting Actress category at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
As reported by 9jagossip on Saturday night, the star-studded 11th edition of the prestigious event took place at the Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, drawing the presence of numerous top celebrities across the entertainment industry.
Aigbe had beaten several of her colleagues like Meg Otanwa, Tina MBA, Ireti Doyle, Ini Dima Okojie, Omoni Oboli and Darasimi Nadi to win Best Supporting Actress for her role in Farmer’s Bride.
An overjoyed Mercy in her speech, expressed how humbled she is to still be getting recognition despite being in the industry for over 20 years.
“I feel so humbled. It’s such an incredible honour to get recognition for your work. I’ve been doing this for over twenty-something years and still get this recognition. To God be the glory. Big thanks to the AMVCA awards. Thank you to Film One Studios for having me on this project. Thank you to the cast and crew, my director, and everyone who has supported me.”
