Popular Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo, also known as Nino B, has opened up about a candid conversation he had with his daughter that led her to rethink a personal decision.
During an interview on the VJ Adams Podcast TV, Ninalowo revealed that his daughter once expressed her desire to get a tongue ring. In response, the actor told her, “I can’t kiss a girl who has a tongue ring.”
According to Ninalowo, his straightforward and fatherly honesty made his daughter reconsider her decision. He used the moment to highlight his hands-on approach to parenting, emphasizing communication, discipline, and influence through personal values.
In his statement, he said, “I tend to advise my children rather than impose my decision on them. I remember a day when my daughter woke me up and said she wanted a tongue ring, and I was so surprised because I couldn’t tell my dad that I wanted to grow my beard when I was younger. My daughter wanted to do a tongue ring, but I told her I can’t kiss a girl with a tongue ring. I told her to think about something else because I know that’s probably what her friends are doing in school as well. She later came back to me and told me that she wanted a belly button, and I took her there, and I paid for it.”
