“He finally listened” – Wizkid reacts after being called out for not promoting his 6th album Morayo (Video)

Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has finally responded to fans’ criticisms after being repeatedly called out for not promoting the songs from his sixth studio album, Morayo, which was released in 2024.

It’s no longer news that Wizkid has cancelled his much-anticipated Morayo Live Tour. The cancellations began with his North American dates, including the U.S. and Canada, and were followed hours later by the scrapping of shows in Berlin and Paris.

This development has sparked mixed reactions online. While some fans speculated that the cancellations were due to poor ticket sales—blaming Wizkid for not adequately promoting the Morayo album—others believe the singer is still grieving the loss of his mother.

However, in a surprising turn, Wizkid shared a new video on his official Instagram page today, May 26, 2025, seemingly addressing the criticism. He posted a clip featuring a group of white dancers effortlessly grooving to Break Me Down, the seventh track on the Morayo album.

Break Me Down is a somber blend of dancehall, Afrobeat, and R&B, showcasing Wizkid’s signature sound with emotional depth.

The singer captioned the video: “Break me down ❤️ Morayo 🦅.”
