Popular Yoruba actress Lizzy Anjorin has opened up about a past misunderstanding that occurred on a movie set between her and up-and-coming actress Dewunmi Fatai. She recounted the incident while speaking in a video shared on the official YouTube channel of The Announcer TV.
Lizzy explained that Dewunmi had asked her for money to buy food during the shoot, and she gave her ₦500. However, to her surprise, Dewunmi allegedly reacted with insults after receiving the money.
“In 2014, 2015, or 2016—I’m not exactly sure which year—I asked a fellow actress to recommend someone who could work with me on set, and that’s how I got introduced to Dewunmi Fatai,” Lizzy recalled.
to me, and Dewunmi told me the amount of money she would take for the job, and we both had an agreement on the payment structure. Dewunmi requested money for food on movie set, and I gave her 500 naira, but she started abusing me. Surprisingly, I noticed that she was nowhere to be found on the movie set, and I called the actress that introduced her to me. The actress told me that Dewunmi complained to her that the money I gave her for food was too small. I called Dewunmi on the phone, and she started cursing me, and she dropped the call, and when I tried to call her again, she had already switched off the phone. If she had come to me to explain that the money was too small for her, maybe I could have added to it, but she decided to take the matter to social media.”
