Popular Yoruba actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has opened up about her husband’s reaction after discovering she had shaved her hair without informing him.
In a video shared on the official YouTube channel of Gistology TV, the actress revealed that her husband was caught off guard by her new look, as she hadn’t sought his permission beforehand. She explained that his surprise stemmed from the unexpected change in her appearance.
According to Opeyemi Aiyeola, she said, “I want to use this video to encourage those people that have come to my DM on social media to applaud me and those who said they would love to shave off their hair like me. Shaving my hair was easy for me because I’m surrounded by people who just love me the way I am, and I won’t encourage anyone that doesn’t have the kind of support that I have to shave off their hair like me, but it’s a thing of choice. There are a lot of toxic people on social media, even those who look educated, and that’s why I used to say that the heart of humans is desperately wicked. I don’t know why some people came under the post on social media to drop negative
comments about my new look. I’m blessed with a wonderful husband because I didn’t tell my husband, my children, or my family, I just woke up one day and decided to shave off the hair, and I did it myself at a time when nobody was at home. My husband was surprised with my new look because I shaved my hair without taking permission. Surprisingly, my husband didn’t say anything negative to me because I could have felt bad if he had done so.”
