“He Doesn’t Like My Son Because of the Surrogacy – It Makes Me Cryyy All the Time” – Biola Adebayo Opens Up on Separation from Husband

Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has revealed that she and her husband have been separated since April last year, sharing the news in a deeply emotional post on Instagram. As she marked her ex-husband’s birthday, Biola offered prayers and well-wishes while also shedding light on her personal struggles over the past year.

Happy birthday to my ex-husband and my baby daddy. I pray that grace will abound unto you, I pray you find peace in all your ways, and may God continue to light your path and bless you beyond your expectations in Jesus’ name,” she wrote.

Biola explained that despite the separation, they’ve chosen to co-parent their son peacefully and maturely. Addressing those who may feel disappointed, she expressed sincere regret, admitting she wished the marriage had worked out — but emphasized that staying alive to tell her story was the most important thing.

In a moving confession, the actress revealed the emotional toll the past 14 months have taken on her. While she appears happy and vibrant to others, she disclosed that she often cries herself to sleep, with her pillow soaked in tears nearly every night.

It’s ironic how I go about putting smiles on people’s faces, yet my pillow has been drenched in tears for almost 14 months. But I thank God for strength and for Christ who lives in me,” she added.

Biola ended her message by asking fans and well-wishers to keep her and her family in their prayers as they continue their journey with grace and resilience.

Yes, you heard me right!
My husband and I have been separated since April last year, but we have decided to maturely and peacefully co-parent our dear son, who means everything to us.

To everyone who feels disappointed, I’m sincerely sorry. I wish it had worked, but it’s better to stay alive to tell the story.
Please keep us in your prayers.

While I go about making other people happy in the day, my pillow has been drenched with my own tears almost every night for the past 14 months, but I have gained strength from Christ, who loves me eternally and gave himself for me.
Let’s learn to be kind to people, you have no idea what others are going through until they say it.

SAY UNTO THE RIGHTEOUS ALL IS WELL!
PEACE”.

Recall that in 2023, after many years of waiting, Biola Bayo welcomed her first child in her 40s after several failed IVFs. She narrated her painful journey to experience motherhood, revealing how she had a failed IVF, one cancelled surrogate circle, and three failed surrogate attempts within two years before she was blessed with her son.
