Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has opened up about how he converted his wife, Priscilla Ojo, to Islam.

In an interview with Afrik Media, the musician revealed that the journey wasn’t easy and required a lot of patience. He admitted that he had to seek guidance from religious leaders to help him navigate the process.

He revealed that it was a little difficult convincing his wife to become a Muslim, and he had to receive lessons from religious leaders, so there was a way that they were teaching him about how to convince her, and with time, she understood.

Speaking about his highly publicised wedding, he said he knew everything about it and had a dream about it. He expressed how lucky he is to find someone who wants the same thing as him.

“I knew everything when it came to my wedding. I had a dream about it, I was so lucky to find someone who wants the same thing as I. It was a little difficult convincing my wife to become a muslim. On the other hand, I was receiving lessons from religious leaders, so there was a way that they were teaching me about how to convince her, and with time, she understood.”

A few weeks back, Juma sang the praises of Priscilla. During a behind-the-scenes look at his music video ‘God Design’, Juma crowned Priscilla the best wife and praised her for being by his side no matter what.

Since going public with Priscilla, Juma hasn’t failed go express his love for the daughter of Iyabo.

During their traditional wedding, Juma had pledged to take good care of his bride’s parents, Iyabo Ojo and her ex-husband. He promised to take care of them and invite them to Tanzania when he and his bride start having kids.

When Priscilla turned 24 in March, Juma stated that since she came into his life, everything started making sense. Juma further stated that the daughter of Iyabo Ojo coloured his life in ways he can’t put into words, as he expressed how happy he was to spend her birthday as her husband.
