Veteran Nollywood actress Fali Werepe, whose real name is Modupe Johnson, has opened up about why she distanced herself from men during her early years.

In an interview shared on Wasilacoded TV’s official YouTube channel on Friday, July 11, 2025, the actress revealed that her mother’s strong warnings about relationships greatly influenced her decisions. She explained that she often rejected romantic advances because her mother told her that engaging in multiple relationships with men would block her path to success.

“A lot of men wanted to be in a relationship with me, but all I could think about was protecting my future,” she said. “I used to run away from men because my mom said I wouldn’t succeed if I slept with different men. I only ended up getting married and having children because it was destined to be.”
