Nollywood actress and mother of two, Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi Simple, has stirred reactions with a powerful message on her Instagram page.
Ashabi, who is currently filming a new project titled Dark Room, shared her thoughts on success and the backlash it can attract. According to her, hatred and jealousy are signs that one is making progress in life.
“Success attracts enemies. Progress invites jealousy. If nobody hates you, you are not making it in life,” she wrote.
She also used the opportunity to promote her skincare brand and the movie she’s working on.

Ashabi’s new film, The Deputy, had its premiere early this month. She thanked her domestic and international followers for attending the formal premiere of her film in a long Instagram post, stating that their love, support, and presence meant the world to her. Ashabi responded to the tremendous turnout and the lovely spirit they carried with them in a humbled manner.
