Veteran Actor Ojopagogo Breaks Silence on His Wife Moji Afolayan’s Decision to Step Away from Acting

Veteran Yoruba actor Razak Olayiwola, popularly known as Ojopagogo, has debunked rumors suggesting he asked his wife, actress Moji Afolayan, to quit acting.

In a recent interview with Oyinmomo TV, Ojopagogo made it clear that his wife remains fully active in the movie industry. He emphasized that she is often away from home due to her busy filming schedule and revealed that they’ve crossed paths on three different movie sets this year alone—proof that her career is still thriving.

The actor also noted that Moji Afolayan was already an established professional in the industry before they met, and he has never tried to hinder her passion or career in any way.

He stressed that her career has seen significant progress over time, and any rumors suggesting that he has restricted her professional pursuits are entirely false.

The actor also highlighted that their relationship is built on mutual understanding and respect for each other’s careers. He made it clear that he is not an authoritative husband, and they do not have a controlling dynamic. Rather, their partnership is one of support, where both individuals are free to follow their respective careers without interference.

He said: “My wife is still acting, and her career is growing. The level she was at last year is not the same as where she is now because she keeps growing. So how can anyone say that I stopped her from acting? This is a profession she was already pursuing before I even met her, so why would I ask her to quit just because we got married? I don’t dictate to my wife and don’t restrict her freedom. In fact, we’ve met at three different filming locations this year alone. Even my wife is not always at home because of the nature of our work.”
