Kudirat Abeniade, popularly known as Mama No Network, has opened up about a terrifying experience from her early days in Nollywood.
In a recent interview, the veteran Yoruba actress recalled a near-fatal accident that took place while filming in Ijebu Ode. According to her, the incident occurred as she and a friend were riding a motorcycle to another location for a hospital scene.
“We were heading to another location for a hospital scene,” she said. “The bike wasn’t strong enough to carry both of us properly. Suddenly, a trailer was approaching, and the bike man jumped off, leaving me and my friend alone on the moving bike.”
The situation quickly turned dire. “My friend did a stunt while my head was upside down, and blood was pouring out of my head and chest,” Abeniade recalled. The accident left her in a critical state, and she was fortunate to have survived.
Abeniade’s account highlights the risks and challenges that many actors face in the film industry, particularly during the early days of their careers.
