Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo has stirred mixed reactions online after publicly celebrating her ex-husband, Seyi, on Father’s Day.
Despite their separation, the actress took to Instagram to honor him with a heartfelt message. Sharing a photo of Seyi with their son, she offered prayers and expressed her enduring respect for him as a father.
Her message read:
“Happy Father’s Day Daddy Tioluwanimi.
May God increase your wisdom.
May God bless the work of your hands.
May grace and peace be multiplied to you and yours in Jesus’ name.
I celebrate you now and always, Daddy Asher.”
Her gesture has drawn praise from many for its maturity and grace.
9jagossip reported last week, Biola announced that she and her husband have been separated since April last year and have decided to co-parent their son maturely and peacefully.
Addressing those who might feel disappointed, she sincerely apologised and expressed her wish that her marriage worked, but it’s best to stay alive to tell the story. Urging her fans to keep them in their prayers, she pointed out the irony at which she goes about making other people happy, but her pillow had been drenched with her own tears almost every night for the past 14 months.
