Nollywood actress Olaide Oyedeji has opened up about life as a single mother, sharing her personal experiences and the challenges she faces, particularly when out in public with her son.
In an interactive session posted on her official YouTube channel, Oyedeji TV, the actress candidly revealed how men often react to her presence at her son’s barbershop visits. According to her, being a beautiful woman comes with its own set of issues, as she’s frequently uncomfortable with the way men stare at her during such outings.
She also used the opportunity to highlight the importance of effective co-parenting, urging baby daddies to step up and do better in supporting single mothers.
Oyedeji said, “Some baby daddies would post the pictures of their child on social media with uncut hair. Some men cannot take their children to the salon to cut their hair because they are very dirty. I have a beautiful body, and men always stare at me whenever I take my son to the barber’s shop. The barbers are always asking me questions that I can’t answer because it is the duty of my baby daddy to answer those questions correctly if he were there to take his son to the salon.”
