Nollywood actress Bukky Adekogbe, popularly known as Aminatu Papapa, has opened up about a difficult period in her life when she almost walked away from her marriage.
In an interview shared on the official YouTube channel of Oyinmomo TV, the actress recounted how her business crumbled and finances became tight, pushing her to the brink of giving up on her marriage. She revealed that at her lowest point, she would even mistake pieces of paper for money due to the mental stress.
However, she credited her husband’s patience and understanding for helping her stay strong through the storm, ultimately saving their union.
According to Adekogbe, she said, “If some people have money to buy a bag of rice, what about those who don’t have money for it?. My business was down, I identified paper as money, and I almost broke up with my husband. I was able to remain in my marriage because my husband is not a troublesome person, everything isn’t about money alone. I’m satisfied with the peace of mind he gives me.”
