Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has finally addressed claims that she’s been hiding her husband from the public eye.
Since tying the knot in 2019, the actress has kept her husband’s identity private, only sharing glimpses of him — such as his hands or back — in social media posts dedicated to him. Despite this, she maintains that she is not hiding him, but simply choosing to protect her family’s privacy.
In an interview with Diary of a Naija Girl for her podcast, Dear Ife, Ruth said she isn’t hiding her man as they attend events together, and she posts him. She said people don’t know him, so they think she is hiding him.
“I’m not hiding my husband, we attend events together and I post him, just that people don’t know him”.
In an interview in May with Chude Jideonwo, Ruth recounted how she handled trolls who mocked her over the size of her engagement ring. The mother of two admitted that she can be a petty person at times, and to deal with the trolls, she stormed their pages one after the other to lash out at them.
Kadiri has kept the identity of her husband under wraps.
Last year, Kadiri had penned a sweet note to her husband to celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary. She stated that she couldn’t have wished for any other person in the 5 years of their marriage, stating her happiness and peace had been derived from being married.
