Renowned Nollywood actor Yomi Adeyeri has described his experience on a movie set with actress Toyin Abraham as one of the most humiliating moments of his career.
In an interview with Feel Right News TV, shared on July 10, 2025, Yomi revealed that during a film shoot, Toyin Abraham allegedly instructed the production manager to give him only ₦1,000 for food. Feeling deeply disrespected, he said he refused the money and walked away, calling it a moment that left him both hurt and embarrassed.
Saka said, “Toyin Abraham did something that was a big challenge to me, and I was so sad about it. We were supposed to be given money for food on a movie set, and I used to collect ₦2000 for food from actors at the time. Toyin said I should be given just ₦1000 for food on a movie set, but I rejected it. I asked Toyin why she wanted to give me ₦1000, but she told me that it was the instruction from the movie producer. I told her to return the money back to the movie producer, and she told actor Femi Branch and Foluke Daramola that when she was still an upcoming actress, she didn’t receive money for food on a movie set. Her statement surprised me because I started film making before her,
even though she became famous before me. Then I told her that she was brought to a movie set of Funsho Adeolu by Bukky Wright, where she was given an extra movie role. I felt so sad, I started crying, and I left the movie set after what Toyin did to me. After some interventions by our veterans, she later came to apologize to me.”
