Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ololade ‘Asake’ Ahmed has addressed allegations that he abandoned his father.
This comes after his father shared a video on social media, pleading for help and claiming that Asake had cut off contact with him. In the viral clip, he stated, “The last time I set my eyes on him was when I fell sick in March 2022. If I call him, he won’t pick. Please help me, it’s your help I need.”
Asake’s response to these claims has sparked reactions from fans and the public.
Taking to his Tiktok page, Asake shared a video where he shared his own part of the story. He sang a freestyle, using the lyrics to explain his situation. He said,
“I gave this man 100 million, bought him a house and he sold it. This man spends like a young boy, even carries OS. You can’t please the world, do whatever you do for God and always remember one day you’ll go and meet your God.
“My people, can you see? My father too wants to cajole me, I used to give him money and I did it freely. No one can quench my fire, God is the one taking me ahead in life”
